Fantasque Class Destroyer

 Designed as a larger, more capable version of traditional destroyers, the Fantasque-Class  Destroyer is a heavily armed design that serves in the Marine Nationale. With a powerful armament of turreted dual 130mm guns (capable of engaging air targets), high speed, torpedoes, and excellent sea keeping capabilities, they're the main destroyer used by the Republic in its navy.
The ships are built with a length of 140 meters, a beam of 12.5 meters, and a draft of 4.75 meters. They are equipped with two smokestacks for the onboard oil driven boilers, with the forward part of the ship housing the main bridge and top areas. The long length to width ratio of the ship provides for an extremely high speed, vital to it's role as a destroyer.
 Onboard guns for  the Fantasque-Class are 130mm. There are 4 of these turrets, with two positioned forward and two positioned to the rear. The turrets are deisnged to be gas-proof, splinter proof, and weather-proof, so that they can operate in all conditions. The guns have a firing rate of one round every three seconds at max, with automatic hoists and power rammers. The turrets have a max elevation of 70 degrees, and can be loaded at any elevation with the ramming capability. The guns are equipped with armor piercing, anti-aircraft and high explosive shells, so as to be able to engage a variety of enemy targets. Muzzle velocity is 800 meters per second.
 Anti-air weaponry is included as well, with 37mm anti-air guns, and 13.2 machine guns. There are 4 37mm anti-air guns, and 6 dual 13.2mm machine guns. It is espected that these will be upgraded in the future.
 A powerful torpedo armament was included in addition to the gun weaponry onboard. There are 12 550mm torpedoes, positioned in four triple mountings on the two broadside areas. They are designed to engage heavy enemy surface units with their torpedoes.
 Protection is relatively light armor wise, given that it is after all, a destroyer. The ship incorporates turrets which are designed to be immune to enemy shrapnel, and is stoutly built, with good ability to resist damage. However, it above all else relies upon speed, and it's small size to avoid enemy attack.
 An extremely high speed has been incorporated into the ship. It is capable of up to 38 knots, with onboard turbines producing 90,000 horsepower, a tremendous amount for the small ship, yet necessary for the high speeds it attains. It has two shafts for the ship.

The Lost Daughter

Selucreh clutched the hands of Suetemorp as they tensed and limp, then rigid again, cooling save for the part which he held, his claws retracted to hold the even paler skin of his gene-gifter. It felt like a part of him was vanishing, as the ancient man finally left this realm.
