Franz von Munich Class Battleship

Designed by the Thanzan Empire's Board of Naval Research and Development to be the standard fast battleship of the Imperial Naval, the Franz von Munich-Class has grown to be one of the most common capital ships in the Navy, and a symbol of the Empire's might across the galaxy. Equipped with excellent main weapons capable of decimating enemy fleets at range, with a variety of heavy artillery and missile systems, the armament of the ship has become the standard to which other nation's ships can only hope to aspire. Meanwhile, it has superb mobility, enabling it to escape from all but the fastest enemy capital ships, while it can destroy ships below its size with ease. Despite this, it also has respectable armor, making it more than a mere battlecruiser and giving it the capability to stand in the wall of battle. With all of these features, it is no doubt that the Franz von Munich-Class has grown to be known as the "Sword of the Emperor" - a fitting testament to the ...

Paladin Battleship

The Paladin is the greatest and most powerful vessel which graces the fleet of the The Order of Talon. Massive, bristling with weapons, with incredibly thick and strong armour, almost unbreakable void shields and impressive speed for its size, it is the representation of Divine Will of the God Emperor, to bring enemies of His message trembling to their knees. What is truly unique about it is that the Talons employ it not as cowardly vessels to stand off at range and attack enemy ships from afar, but rather for the only courageous, honourable, and holy mission that a warrior can have: to attack, to get into grips with the enemy, to crush them and exert his will - and the Emperor's will - at a range where one can see the white eyes of the unholy. Paladin is designed in this philosophy, for its weapons, armour, shields, speed, are all based around the fundamental question: getting space marines across the void of space, to crush the enemy with sheer brute force in boarding actions. In...

Paris Class Destroyer

The Paris-Class Destroyer serves as one of the mainstay warships of the French Republican Union's Marine Nationale. Medium sized ships, although still rather massive by human size, they serve as individual combatants on the frontiers, escorts for larger battlegroups, fast reaction forces, humanitarian aid vessels, and as diplomatic vessels showing the Tricolor across sentient held space. The relatively small size of the vessels does not preclude them from packing a highly effective punch, and they are vital ships for maintaining territorial sovereignty. Paris-Class ships were designed in response to a pressing need for a new medium level space ship capable of serving in a variety of roles. The aging Eiffel-Class destroyers were no longer viewed as capable of serving in front line combat roles for much longer in the intended duties of a destroyer, and thus required replacement. The new ship required several capabilities to be added on the previous ship. Superior sensors were view...

Orleans Class Heavy Cruiser

Designed as the standard heavy cruiser in French Service, the Orléans-Class Heavy Cruiser is a capable, advanced ship, designed to serve as a screening, raiding, commerce protection and recconnaissance ships. Substantially upgraded over previous designs, they're far more capable in their armament and armor, serving the Republic well in their intended role. The Orléans are 210 meters long, 20 meters wide, and have a draft of 8 meters. This creates a tonnage of approximately 15,000 tons, when it is normally loaded. This can be several thousand more tons when it is loaded to fully capacity. This length to width ratiom akes for a rather fast and speedy ship. Main armament for the Orléans-Class consists of 203mm/55, which allows for a high muzzle velocity reaching well over 850 meters per second. There are 9 of these guns onboard, arranged in three triple turrets, with two turrets forward and one turret to the rear. These guns can be used in ship to ship combat, land bombardment, o...

Fantasque Class Destroyer

Designed as a larger, more capable version of traditional destroyers, the Fantasque-Class  Destroyer is a heavily armed design that serves in the Marine Nationale. With a powerful armament of turreted dual 130mm guns (capable of engaging air targets), high speed, torpedoes, and excellent sea keeping capabilities, they're the main destroyer used by the Republic in its navy. The ships are built with a length of 140 meters, a beam of 12.5 meters, and a draft of 4.75 meters. They are equipped with two smokestacks for the onboard oil driven boilers, with the forward part of the ship housing the main bridge and top areas. The long length to width ratio of the ship provides for an extremely high speed, vital to it's role as a destroyer.  Onboard guns for  the Fantasque-Class are 130mm. There are 4 of these turrets, with two positioned forward and two positioned to the rear. The turrets are deisnged to be gas-proof, splinter proof, and weather-proof, so that they can oper...

Marseille Class Light Cruiser

The Marseille class Light Cruiser was designed to replace earlier Light Cruiser with a substantially more modern and powerful ship. With extensive upgrades to onboard weapons, protection, and speed, enabling them to substantially outperform the earlier cruiser units. This has enabled them to operate more effectively in their intended role as fleet escorts, scouting units, raiding units, and commerce protection ships. Length for the ships is approximately 180 meters, with a width of 18 meters, and a draught of 6.2 meters. Like most cruisers it has a somewhat raised forward deck area, although the remaining area of the ship is mostly in line with this with it being raised above a secondary deck region. There are two onboard smokestacks, angled backwards slightly. The command bridge is located to the fore as well, behind the two forward turrets. The main battery of the ship is composed of 150mm/50 guns. These are positioned in dual turrets, with 2 forward and two to the rear, and are ...
