Bhutan Commune

Workers of all countries!

Great and joyful news has been received from Bhutan, where the Bharatiya Commune's daring and steadfast defense of the interests of the workers and peasants of Bhutan has been met with successful results. In response to a demand, firmly issued by the workers' and peasants' government, the tyrannical bloody butchers of the poor artisans and peasants of Bhutan, the so-called Royal Bhutanese government, has fled the country, as the king goes into exile. While these vermin flow out like puss from a wound, brave and noble Commune forces have entered the country, assisting the workers and peasants of Bhutan to establish their own socialist nation.

A constitutional convention has already been established, and it is expected that soon the provisional government will be dissolved and replaced with a newly-established Bhutanese Commune, establishing the same set of institutions and governance that has blessed the lands of Bengal - a free, sovereign, and independent socialist sister Republic, established on lines of solidarity and coordinated international affairs with the Bharatiya Commune. In the interests of mutual preservation of peace, prosperity, and defense against international capitalism and imperialism, the new socialist Bhutanese government has granted the Bharatiya Commune a variety of basing, military stationing, transfer, and defense agreements, to harmonize and ensure defense against international aggression. The Bengalese army is also to be re-established on the same lines as that of the Indian army, trained, equipped, and supplied by the Bharatiya Commune. Bharatiya political officers will be tasked with arousing revolutionary conscience and countering the effects of remaining reactionary units in Bhutan.

The first international victory of the Indian workers and peasants, the first time that they have valiantly spread socialism abroad, has been greeted with intense joy across the Commune. Foreign despots have been brought to heel, the poor oppressed people of Bhutan liberated, a potential security threat removed, and the first ally of the Commune in Asia established - all without a single drop of blood spilled. Popular enthusiasm supports an increasingly assertive foreign policy, to ensure the broader security and interests of the Commune and to liberate the oppressed people of the world,

Impressive military parades, cheered on by the grateful Bhutanese people, were held throughout key Bhutanese cities, as Indian troops parades under the supporting cries of the grateful workers and peasants. Strewn with flowers thrown upon them, hugged by deliriously grateful women and children, given gifts and symbols of appreciation, the fraternal amity between the working peoples of the world was well shown, displaying that once the kings, despots, and tyrants are overthrown, between comrades there are no real quarrels.

The liberation of Bhutan has also brought the supplies of gold and cash reserves of the former Bhutanese government to the cause of the Internationale, and already the Commune's government looks east with vivid interest to put it into effect....

Workers of all countries, unite!
