Suessydian Exploration

The recent development of the hyperdrive for the Suessyde Confederqtion can without a doubt be declared as the most momentous and important event in the history of the Suessdyian civilization, greater perhaps even than the Unification Wars, since the destruction of the planet of Nires by the fatal asteroid impact. The hyperdrive has opened up the heavens to exploration, colonization, discover, and if aliens are found after all, to conquest. It has been too long of peace, the first time of peace that the Suessdyians can remember, in a history which has seen eternal war and conflict, and the increase in population and the feuds between the clans has begun to put pressure upon the rule of the Emperor. At last, an activity that the enterprises of the Confederation and its clans can be directed towards has materialized, to colonize the stars and to spread their life force and influence outward.

All of the clans are aware of this. They know that the future of the Suesdyians is among the stars, not cooped up here in this little system. There had been proposals previously about launching generation ships, but it had always been something which had been rejected due to the vast sucking up of resources that the wars occasioned. During the unification by the Emperor, the idea had been advanced more vigorously, but not acted upon. Now, the idea has been firmly entrenched in all of the leadership of the Confederation. The six clans and the Imperial clan stand ready to each thrust out across the galaxy, their lust for power and discovery matched only by their continued distrust of each other.

Sihgneg III is well aware of this, and the troubling reports of increasing internal plots to the throne has forced his hand - it is impossible to keep access to space restricted to only the imperial clan, even if a disproportionate share of resources can be devoted to them, and the best potential colonization routes meted out towards the Emperor's personal clan. As a result, the Emperor has allowed all 6 clans to launch their colonization efforts on their own, controlling only their direction.

Imperial clan - north-west
Hujaka - north-east
Pirafilo - east
Jirakirai - south-east
Verniat - south
Pokukukop - south west
Lethiran - west

Of course; some clans are less well financed and capable of pursuing this exploration agenda than others, such as the Piraflo and the Jirakira clans, both only saved from annexation in the last war due to the terrifying cost of aiming to take down their minefields. Even more worrisome, if one was concerned about the expansion of Suessdyian civilization as a whole - which manifestly, nobody is, since all only care about their own personal interests - is the distinct lack of any willingness to share information with other clans. It is a desperate, frantic race to the stars, but one which is disjointed and entirely lacking in much in the way of grand strategy - merely an effort to attempt to find as many habitable worlds as possible for colonization as can be feasibly attempted, in a desperate fight to gain an advantage on the other clans.
